Biodiversity plays a key role in people’s lives on many levels. The first important aspect is to ensure the stability and sustainability of our societies. <\/p>\n\n

Thanks to the diversity of ecosystems and plant and animal species, we have access to an abundance of natural resources such as food, drinking water, medicines and building materials. This in turn translates into our ability to survive and thrive as a species. In addition, biodiversity is of great importance for food security. Genetic diversity among crops and breeding plants allows adaptation to changing environmental and climatic conditions, which in turn ensures a stable food supply.<\/p>\n\n

How do trees affect biodiversity?<\/h2>\n\n

Human activity has significantly affected the state of nature, including drastically depleting the number and diversity of plant and animal species. Until now, it has been a very common belief that the variety and diversity of life around us is not important, and humanity has tried to equalize and standardize the world around it. Currently, we already know that diversity is not only beautiful, but also incredibly valuable, so protecting biodiversity should be one of the most important goals for humanity.<\/p>\n\n

Tree planting is an effective biodiversity conservation strategy<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n

Among the main threats to biodiversity, in addition to global climate change, we can include foreign invasive species, which often dominate and displace naturally occurring plants. New research, however, reports that by planting native tree species, we can simultaneously promote biodiversity and reduce the expansion of non-native plants. <\/p>\n\n

Organizing a tree planting campaign together with Euronet Poland, we decided to plant nectar-rich biocenotic trees, which will improve the feeding base of wildlife and additionally enhance the aesthetics of the landscape. <\/p>\n\n
