The planting of trees near Krakow, in Tyniec, is a perfect example of the intermingling of culture and nature. Culture has always drawn inspiration from nature, reflecting its beauty and diversity in art, architecture and fashion. Nature is also a source of spirituality, as beliefs arose from observations of nature and took their cue from natural cycles of nature or weather phenomena. <\/p>\n\n

The Benedictine Abbey in Tyniec, founded in the 11th century, is the oldest monastery in Poland, located picturesquely on the banks of the Vistula River. It is an important spiritual and cultural center, witnessing more than a thousand years of Christian history in Poland. Large, beautiful linden trees have been planted on the grounds of the Benedictine Abbey in Tyniec, which will delight not only during the flowering season. The small-leaved lime tree, with its majestic shape and aromatic flowers, fits perfectly into the atmosphere of the monastery’s gardens, adding to their tranquility and aesthetic charm. <\/p>\n\n

The planting of trees near Krakow, in Tyniec was the result of the cooperation of many partners<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n

Thanks to cooperation with SoftServe Poland<\/strong> we planted 30 large trees on the grounds of the Benedictine Abbey in Tyniec<\/strong>. Also involved in the campaign was the Protect the Good Foundation, whose mission is to protect the cultural heritage of the Benedictine Abbey in Tyniec<\/strong>, popularize Benedictine spirituality and promote the abbey’s associated culture, traditions, history and education <\/p>\n\n

Volunteers from SoftServe Poland were supported by students from the school run by the Special School and Educational Center No. 4 in Cracow<\/strong>. For the children of the SOSW, the action of planting trees<\/a> on the grounds of the monastery was an interesting experience, to which they devoted themselves with full commitment <\/p>\n\n

The planting plan was made according to the project for the revaluation of the monastery gardens by Ms. Beata Gawryszewska, PhD, drawn up especially for the Benedictine Abbey in Tyniec. <\/p>\n\n

Restore the former value and appearance of the monastery gardens<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n

The trees that will grow on the abbey grounds are also, of course, an important contribution to local biodiversity – dozens of large trees provide a great feeding base and shelter for many animals. In addition, the linden tree is a valuable melliferous plant, and its beautifully fragrant flowers have been used in herbalism for years. <\/p>\n\n
